CHA Fertility Center is proud to assist lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender couples and individuals in achieving their family dreams through assisted reproductive technology and surrogacy. Since our opening, CHA Fertility Center – Los Angeles has been providing equal and exceptional care to all families throughout the region.

Lesbian Families

CHA Fertility Center can help lesbian couples (and also single women) who wish to have children with their own DNA by providing the most appropriate course of treatments. If the couple wants to choose the egg from one partner and have the other partner carry the pregnancy, in vitro fertilization would be appropriate. The partner whose egg will be used will go through ovarian stimulation in order to retrieve and fertilize her eggs.

Genetic testing (PGS/PGD) and selected micromanipulations such as ICSI and assisted hatching can be performed to increase the chances of success and/or for family balancing (gender/sex selection). The fertilized egg would then be implanted in the other partner’s uterus to be carried through gestation and delivery. Alternatively, the couple may choose to one partner to both provide the egg and carry the pregnancy. If this is the case, then intrauterine insemination (IUI) can be performed in order for the sperm to fertilize her eggs. Any excess eggs or embryos can be frozen, or cryopreserved, for future cycles.

The intended parent(s) may choose donor sperm from a friend, relative or anonymous donor through a sperm bank. We at CHA Fertility Center are committed to assisting with this entire process and matching you with a discreet, ethical and reputable partner donor agency that fits your needs.

Gay Families

CHA Fertility Center – Los Angeles is committed to assisting gay (and single) men have their own biological children through the innovations of reproductive medicine. Sperm from the intended parent(s) is used to fertilize a donor egg through in vitro fertilization. The intended parent(s) can choose to conduct pre-implantation genetic screening/diagnosis (PGS/PGD) or micromanipulations such as ICSI or assisted hatching if needed for increased chance for success. The fertilized egg (embryo) is then transferred to a surrogate (gestational carrier) to carry the pregnancy. Any extra eggs or embryos can be frozen (cryopreserved) for future cycles.

Success rates with donor eggs and gestational surrogates are amongst the highest in assisted reproduction. This is due to the younger ages of the egg donor and healthy uterine environment of the carefully selected gestational carrier.
